This week the Alzheimer’s Society announced that they have reached a new milestone in their campaign to improve awareness of Dementia in our communities – over 2.5 million people across the UK are now members of their Dementia Friends initiative.

The campaign was launched in 2013 to help improve awareness of Dementia in local communities and businesses, with an estimated 200,000 hours spent by Dementia Friends across the country to help create Dementia-friendly communities.

Here at Bennett Griffin, we offer friendly and interactive sessions each month at our offices to enable you to become a Dementia Friend and increase your understanding of Dementia, and the ways in which you can make a difference to the people affected.

In addition, we can also offer Dementia Friends sessions for local businesses at their offices if they would like a bespoke session for staff – please do contact us if this would be of interest.

The next Dementia Friends session at Bennett Griffin will be on Thursday 19th July from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at our Worthing office. Please see the session’s booking page for more details and to sign up.
