You will have seen from our previous posts that we were shortlisted as finalist for a STEP award for the Vulnerable Client Advisory Team of the Year. Following on from that we are delighted to say that, although we did not win the award we were nominated for, at the prestigious awards ceremony in London on Thursday 8th September Bennett Griffin were presented with a discretionary STEP Private Client Award!

Bennett Griffin was awarded with the Judges Discretionary Award for Outstanding Written Communication.

The Presiding Judges, made up of respected industry experts, said; “….the Judges were impressed by the freshness of the entry. The author’s passion and commitment shone from the page and provided a real insight into how it would feel to be a client of the firm. The energy of the entry, clearly written by a client handler, made it a stand out submission that the Judges felt deserved special recognition.”

The entry was written by Elin Dukes, one of the solicitors in our Elderly Client Services team. Elin, along with her colleagues Jo Edwards and head of department Ian Macara, work tirelessly to provide their clients with clear, practical, effective advice delivered with empathy and passion for the work they do and this passion and commitment to their clients clearly shone through in Elin’s award entry.

Elin and Ian are both proud to be members of STEP which is a worldwide professional association for those advising families across generations. The STEP awards are highly regarded as a celebration of excellence across the private client world and all entries go through a rigorous, practitioner-led judging process in order to select and identify the best and brightest in the industry.
