If you are a cyclist, are you insured?

Following an article on the BBC about getting insurance for your cycle one of our PI solicitors Nick Hind says:

“You don’t want to put people off cycling altogether by insisting on cyclists taking out insurance against what is a pretty low risk, but the risk is there – of causing injury or damage to others – and if you can get cheap insurance – among the other benefits – through joining one of the cycling organisations then for the regular cyclist it’s a no brainer. It almost goes without saying though that the much greater risk is of injury or damage to the cyclist or his/her bike”
