What does she do? She is a landlord and tenant solicitor at Bennett Griffin LLP. Fighting for you and your landlord.
How can she help us? She can ensure that your landlord clients are satisfied and that the best result is achieved for them and for you.
Services she can advise you or your landlord client on:
Advice where the tenant is in breach of the tenancy agreement – letter before action – section 8 notice – possession proceedings (Court hearing required)
Advice where the Landlord wants to regain possession of the property (no breach of tenancy) – section 21 notice and then accelerated possession proceedings (usually no Court hearing).
Drafting Assured Shorthold Tenancy agreements
Advice on how to evict squatters.
Why should you use a solicitor?
The notices can be tricky to draft and it is easy to get the wrong wording or the wrong date. Consequently, it will cost your landlord client more money and can take much longer than anticipated and you may have to pay your landlord clients’ legal bill if you make the mistake.
Solicitors are qualified to draft accurately and get the best result for the landlord first time.

On Thursday the 29th September 2011, solicitors of Bennett Griffin LLP spent the evening at Worthing High School speaking to GCSE students and their parents about a career in law.
Rubbing shoulders with the armed forces, the navy, vets and chefs, the event was a fantastic opportunity for Bennett Griffin to join other businesses and professions in offering support and guidance to the next generation.
Once students leave school, it can take at least another seven years of hard work to become a solicitor. However, we were able to offer advice on the various other routes of becoming a lawyer, including working whilst studying, which, due to increasing university fees, may be much more appealing to the students.
We were very impressed with the level of interest and commitment the young people of Worthing showed in a career in law and we hope we have inspired them to work hard to achieve their goals. We are pleased to be able to support Worthing High School and its students in this way.
Following the success of last year’s charity event for Children in Need, we are pleased to announce that the Bennett Griffin Bowling Bonanzais back for a second year running!!
Community groups and businesses from the local area are invited to put forward a team to participate in this bowling event, which will be held on Thursday 17th November at AMF Bowling in Worthing. We have reserved all 26 lanes and we are confident that all lanes will be utilised. Please have a look at the flyer for more details.
Whether or not you are able to join us on the night, we would be extremely grateful for any kind donations for this worthwhile cause. Please visit our Just Giving page to do so. Last year’s event raised almost £2,000 and we hope to smash that record this year!
We hope you can join us on 17th November for this fun packed evening!!
