Wills & Trust Probate Law Advice

- to ensure your those you love are protected after your death

- to choose who should care for your children

- to specify who will deal with your financial and personal affairs after your death

- to avoid your assets going to people you had not intended

- to minimise the payment of Inheritance Tax due on your death

- to ease the administration of your affairs for your surviving family

A well thought-out and prepared Will protects the interests of those you love by making sure that your personal wishes affecting their future are carried out to the letter.

A poorly drafted or non-existent Will can cause unnecessary heartache, disputes and Inheritance Tax for your family.

Making a valid Will

Our qualified and experienced solicitors, Tania Clapham and Ian Macara, will meet you to discuss your wishes and the implications of what you are planning to do.  They will also make sure you have not overlooked any important issues.

You may need to set out what would happen if one of your beneficiaries were to die before you. What if there were more children or grandchildren? At what age would you want children to inherit?

Simply writing a letter of your wishes will not automatically mean that your letter will later be regarded as a valid will. There are essential elements to both the drafting of the will and the signing of it which may make your letter invalid.

Downloading or buying a will making kit will not automatically guarantee that you complete the forms in the right way, or that the wishes you write will be understood and carried out as you intended.
At Bennett Griffin LLP we will make absolutely sure that your wishes are clearly and effectively set out in your Will. You can meet at our offices or we are happy to arrange a visit to your home or workplace.

If you have any questions, however small, with regard to preparing a Will please call Ian or Tania on their direct dial telephone numbers for an initial free consultation.
