An Evening With Monty Panesar: Community, Conversation and Cricket for a Great Cause
In November, Bennett Griffin LLP was proud to co-host a special evening at Worthing Football Club alongside Sam Hart of Ian Hart Funeral Services, welcoming former England cricketer Monty Panesar for an intimate and engaging Q and A event.
The evening brought together local business owners, sports fans and members of the community for an honest, humorous and insightful conversation about elite sport, resilience and life beyond the boundary. Monty’s openness and warmth created an atmosphere that felt as much about connection as it was about cricket, with plenty of laughter and thoughtful moments along the way.
Events like this reflect what we value at Bennett Griffin: bringing people together, supporting local initiatives and creating meaningful opportunities for conversation. Thanks to the generosity of those who attended and supported the raffle, the event raised £327 for the Sussex Cricket Foundation, helping to fund grassroots cricket, community projects and opportunities across Sussex.
We were also delighted to host the event at Worthing Football Club, a venue that continues to play an important role in bringing the local community together. Our thanks go to Gary Wallis-Tayler for sharing insight into the work of the Sussex Cricket Foundation, and of course to Monty Panesar for giving his time so generously.
Following the success of the evening, we’re excited that this is just the beginning. With more events planned for 2026 and beyond, our aim is to continue combining sport, conversation and community, all while raising funds for causes that make a real local impact.
