Bennett Griffin takes a Leap for Guild Care….

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Worthing Birdman Stage On Saturday 15th August partner and head of the Bennett Griffin property team, Rob Fawcett, along with Elaine Smith who is the partner in charge of the Company Commercial team , will be taking part in the Worthing Birdman competition to raise money for local Worthing charity,  Guild Care.

The Worthing Birdman is a competition for “human powered flying machines” that take off from a ramp which is specially constructed on Worthing Pier. There are 3 different classes so entrants can decide whether they want to be a serious aviator and compete for the £10,000 prize money (which is awarded to the person who flies the furthest over a 100 meter distance) or whether they want to take part for fun and raise money for charity.

Rob and Elaine will be entering the Kingfisher Class which is the “fun” class – and they will be raising money for Guild Care which was recently voted by the staff at Bennett Griffin as their charity of the year.

Each year Guild Care supports over 3000 local older people, people with dementia, children with learning difficulties and their carers and families.

The work Guild Care does is far-reaching and vital in the local community, so through Rob and Elaine’s efforts, we are hoping to raise as much as possible for this fantastic charity.
