Reading Time: 2 minutes

At Bennett Griffin we are committed to supporting charities and the community in and around Worthing, West Sussex and further afield.

Each year the firms staff nominate and vote for a charity of the year, pledging to support and fundraise for that charity.

We are proud to say that our staff charity for the next year is the Worthing Branch of the National Autistic Society (NAS). National Autistic Society Logo

The NAS Worthing Branch is run entirely by volunteers who are parents of children on the autism spectrum.

When nominating the charity our staff member explained; “Parents have to deal with Autistic children 24/7 and can find it very demanding and also very limiting in what they can do.   The Worthing Autistic Society are a support group for the Parents and children and organise meetings which offer a way of meeting other families and making friends…The Branch try to do sponsored walks and other events to raise as much  money as they can and to get everyone together, they’ve also organised a monthly autism friendly cinema club  and various play sessions.   They are a brilliant group of people who work very hard…”

The aims of NAS Worthing are to;

  • Provide information, emotional and social support to people and families who are affected by autism spectrum conditions (ASDs)
  • Provide information and support to people who have an interest in autism
  • Represent the needs of people and families affected by ASDs and to help to influence change
  • Raise awareness of ASDs locally
  • Campaign for positive change

NAS Worthing Branch are a really fantastic charity.

Over the course of the year we will be fundraising for NAS Worthing Branch and supporting and promoting the events they are running throughout the year so watch this space for more information!
