Bennett Griffin Golf Day Raises £2,400 for St Barnabas House

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Friday 10 June saw the annual Bennett Griffin golf day held in conjunction with IT support and outsourcing company CNC Ltd in aid of St Barnabas House in Worthing.

Bennett Griffin and CNC were extremely proud to be raising money for St Barnabas as both companies are big supporters of the charity and the fantastic work they do in and around Worthing and West Sussex.

Golf Day 2016 - Cheque Presentation

St Barnabas is and independent charitable hospice in Worthing which provides end of life care services, both at the hospice and at home in the community, to adults with advanced progressive life-limiting conditions.

The sun shone on the 13 groups of golfers who took to the course at Hill Barn Golf Club in Worthing on Friday morning and the conditions meant some fantastic golf was played, including one of our guests recording a hole in one!

Once all the groups had finished their 18 holes the scores were tallied and the golfers and guests enjoyed a BBQ before the prize giving ceremony began. Prizes were awarded for both team efforts and individual brilliance, including awards for our hole in one champion, charity challenge hole winner, mystery ball winners, longest drive winner and of course our overall tournament winner!

However the highlight of the day was the presentation of the cheque from Ian Macara of Bennett Griffin and Graham Lind from CNC to Hugh Lowson from St Barnabas for a fantastic £2,400!

£1,200 of that total had been generously donated by our guests on the day with their donations being matched by Bennett Griffin and CNC.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along and made the day such a success –we are looking forward to next year already!
