Lauren Barker

I joined Bennett Griffin in November 2025 as a Solicitor in the Private Client department. After graduating with a Law degree in 2021, I went on to study the Legal Practice Course at The University of Law. Alongside my studies, I worked as a Legal Assistant, where I was first introduced to Private Client work, a role that sparked my passion for helping clients through sensitive times.

During my Training Contract, I explored other areas of law, including Conveyancing and Litigation, but spent the majority of my time in Private Client. I enjoyed the variety of work involved, from Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney to Probate and Trusts, and the opportunity to provide support during what can often be an emotional period for clients. Having found a real passion for this area, I chose to qualify into Private Client.

As part of the Private Client team, I assist clients with Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Probate. I understand these matters often involve sensitive circumstances, so I take a compassionate and practical approach to guide clients through the process with clarity and care.

I was drawn to Bennett Griffin because of its strong community focus and commitment to staff wellbeing. From my first interview, I felt confident that the firm would provide the guidance and support needed to grow successfully as a newly qualified solicitor.

My approach is built on clear communication and empathy. I aim to provide realistic timescales, keep clients updated throughout their matter, and ensure they feel informed and reassured every step of the way.

Outside of work, I enjoy boxing-style fitness classes, walking my black Labrador across the South Downs or along the beach, and discovering new brunch spots with friends. I’m also always planning my next holiday or city break to explore new destinations and unwind.
