Putting off Making a Will? We can help!

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Writing a Will is something that we all know we should be doing but many of us put it off because we don’t want to think about it, find it all too confusing or just simply don’t know where to start.

At Bennett Griffin we have developed a streamlined, bespoke Wills service which aims to provide clients advice appropriate to their individual needs.

With access to the latest Will clauses and current legal developments we are able to provide an all- inclusive Will service, where clients can make informed decisions.

Our Will service starts with an appointment to discuss your Will instructions, providing you with advice in relation to Trusts and other legal solutions which may be applicable to your circumstances. In addition you would discuss Inheritance Tax so that you have an understanding of your potential Inheritance Tax liability. You would also be given the option of registering your Will, for free, with Certainty. As people are generally more mobile it can be easy to lose track of important documents so registering your Will can be immensely useful particularly for those who may need to track it down one day.

Following your appointment you would receive a draft of your documents. Which is a useful opportunity to refine your instructions and make any necessary amendments.

After you have approved the draft you would be invited back to our offices finalise your Will. This is so that we can ensure that your Will is valid, having been properly signed and witnessed. It’s also another opportunity to raise any further questions you may have before signing on the dotted line.

Once the Will has been finalised you would have the option of storing your Will in our safe storage facility.

Finally, you would receive copies of your documents to keep with your personal papers.

We appreciate that one-size does not fit all and at every stage of the process we aim to tailor our service to meet your individual needs.
