Snowy Start for Sport Relief Fundraising

Reading Time: 2 minutes

We are very pleased to report on a successful day of fundraising on Friday 21st March 2014 for Sport Relief.

Bennett Griffin held their very own Winter Olympics, with fancy dress, a cake sale, and themed activities at lunchtime.

It was a beautiful sunny day on Friday, so one of our Associate Solicitors, Jo Edwards, provided some DIY snow with her snowflake fancy dress outfit.  Other members of staff came into work kitted out in winter gear and sporty themed costumes, like Katie Foan who came dressed in ski kit from head to toe.  One of our Partners, Toby Barrett, came dressed up ready for the curling activity; broom in hand!  We all got together at lunchtime on the village green in Ferring to participate in some themed activities, such as bobsleigh, skiing and curling – you will have to look at the photos on our Facebook page  to see how we achieved this in sunny Ferring!  You can also catch us in the Worthing Herald this week; out on Thursday 27th March.

After a busy lunchtime getting active and making fools of ourselves for Sport Relief, we retired to the office to indulge in some much needed cake – for a further donation to Sport Relief of course!  It only served to show how fortunate we all are, and how important our fundraising is to help those who are not as lucky, both in the UK and abroad.

In the afternoon, Jo and Katie travelled over to Brighton to be interviewed by Mark Carter on BBC Sussex Radio about our fundraising efforts!  If you missed it, the interview will be available on the BBC Sussex website until Friday 28th March.

At the last count, our fundraising total had reached just over £140!  We had set a target of £100, are we are over the moon that we have beaten it thanks to the generosity of all our staff members!
