St Barnabas Will Week 2014

We are pleased to announce our involvement in the St Barnabas Will Writing Week, which is taking place from 6^th – 10^th October 2014.

The much-loved local hospice, St Barnabas, is currently our charity of the year, and we have supported their Will Week, and many of their other fundraising initiatives, for a number of years.

Our Wills specialist, Joanna Fildes, is looking forward to working with St Barnabas to help raise some much deserved funds for such a valuable local charity.

During the Will Writing Week, Joanna will be offering a limited number of appointments free of charge to help you write or update your Will. As the St Barnabas website explains, rather than paying Joanna for her professional advice, we will ask you to make a donation to St Barnabas instead. The amount of the donation is up to you, but St Barnabas have suggested that £100 for a single Will or £75 for a Codicil would be of great help to them.

You may also wish to consider making a gift to St Barnabas in your Will, and Joanna will be happy to explain the Inheritance Tax benefits of such a gift during your appointment. St Barnabas say that ‘a gift left in your Will helps St Barnabas House to help desperately ill local people and their families today and tomorrow’.

As the charity’s website quite rightly points out, ‘the only way to be certain that those you care about are provided for in the way that you wish is to make a Will. So make your appointment today and ensure that when the time comes your loved ones do not miss out.’
