Taking the Leap for the Queen Alexandra Hospital Home

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Bennett Griffin are proud to support one of our amazingly brave (or amazingly crazy!) members of staff who is about to jump out of a plane (hopefully with a parachute) to raise money for The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home (QAHH) in Worthing.

The tandem skydive, which is due to take place on 2nd August, is being organised to celebrate the QAHH’s 95th anniversary and to commemorate the WWI Centenary. Kayleigh Akehurst, an assistant in our Private Client team, has bravely volunteered to take part on behalf of Bennett Griffin.

Kayleigh admits that she doesn’t particularly like heights, let alone looking out of an open plane door whilst thousands of feet up in the air, but she is keen to take part because she says “this is a great charity to support”.

Kayleigh goes on to explain that “the QAHH helps to rehabilitate disabled ex-servicemen and women of the past, present and future. The QAHH can provide physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, counselling and first class nursing. However, they need to raise £1.3 million each year to continue helping our ex-servicemen and women.”
