The Bennett Griffin Employment Club ‘strikes’ again!

Reading Time: < 1 minute

A landmark case that could change the law on Health and Safety and make employers liable when adequately trained employees are injured in the workplace through their own stupidity, the recent case on holiday pay for overtime (for further details click here), stress in the workplace, dress code policies and shared parental leave; all of this before 9am on a Friday morning!

I am of course, talking about Bennett Griffin’s high profile Employment Club. Held quarterly, employers from Worthing and the surrounding areas gather together, eat bacon and eggs and listen to the employment law updates provided by Bennett Griffin’s employment team, lawyers Elaine Smith, Hannah Bennett and on this occasion, Matt Hollamby who is a company and commercial lawyer at Bennett Griffin.

The employment club provides an informal setting for employers to get together, educate themselves, discuss any issues in the workplace they may have and of course do some light networking. The meeting starts at 7.30 and is usually finished by 9am so does not encroach on your working day. The next meeting will be on Friday the 6th February 2015 and the first one is free.
