Premises Licensing Laws
The subject of licensing and licensed premises is an area where increasingly burdensome obligations are being imposed.
If you supervise the sale of alcohol it may be that you need a personal license in order to do so.
In addition if you run commercial premises that are used for the sale or supply of alcohol then you must also have a premises license. However a premises license may also be required if you provide hot food at some times of day or you provide certain forms of entertainment which are considered to be “regulated entertainment”. These rules mean that any commercial premises that has live or recorded music needs a license as does anywhere showing a theatrical performance (either for charity or profit).
The licensing law regulations are complex and applying for a license can be a minefield.
We can work with you to advise you on what licenses you and/or your premises may need and process any applications on your behalf.
