Dementia Friends – Are You 1 In A Million (620,276)?

Dementia Friends Logo

Did you know that if you are a Dementia Friend, you are one of currently 1,620,276 (as at 17.51 on 08.07.16)!

If you are not a Dementia Friend, did you know that 19,550 other people became Dementia Friends in June 2016.

If you had wanted to become a Dementia Friend there were 1,498 Information Sessions run in June.

So, if you’d like to become a Dementia Friend and turn increased awareness about Dementia and into positive action to help create more Dementia Friendly communities and businesses, then we’d be delighted to help you.

Ian Macara and Elin Dukes are both trained and accredited by the Alzheimer’s Society to facilitate Dementia Friends Information Sessions. These are limited to 1 hour, no tests, just an opportunity to explore the issues raised by Dementia for carers, those living with Dementia and those who wish to better understand Dementia.

Our next two scheduled monthly Information Sessions take place at our Ferring Office, they are FREE and are on:

Tuesday 19th July at 12 noon  and

Tuesday 20th September at 12 noon

Alternatively, if you are involved in a business, club or society and would appreciate a bespoke Information Session for your colleagues, friends or family then we’d be delighted to arrange that with you.

We’d love to meet with you and hear a little about your story and the way in which Dementia Friends has helped you turn increased awareness into positive action, however seemingly small or large that may be.

Simply contact Ian Macara (T.01903 706956 E.im@bennett-griffin.co.uk) or Elin Dukes (T. 01903 706981 E.ed@bennett-griffin.co.uk) or Log onto the Dementia Friends website to sign up.
