Family Matters – Divorce In Later Life with Trina Little

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Our Family Law team are back with another episode of their popular Family Matters podcast! They continue with another in their ‘Divorce In Later Life’ series.

In previous episodes, Jackie Mensah & Sarah Pennicott explored divorce in later life through a range of different areas:

  • The first episode discussed later life provisioning from a relationship and financial point of view with Gill Lynes of Carpenter Box Accountants.
  • The second episode featured Ben Slater, an independent social worker and Managing Director of Nellie Supports – who specialise in social care support and mental capacity assessments, and;
  • The third episode, Jeremy Rowe of Paladin Experts provided lots of useful information about pension reports, and when people really need to get them.

In this, the fourth episode of this popular and informative series, Jackie and Sarah are joined by Trina Little of Westgate Chambers. Trina has a thriving practice in Financial Remedy and Private Law and discussed with us the court process and what to expect, as well as the adjustments that the court may make to help parties to attend court if they have a hearing.

Regardless of your age, the prospect of going to court to determine the outcome of divorce proceedings can be incredibly daunting, especially with the current court delays meaning that the case could take longer to reach a conclusion.

However, there are options available, such as Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). It is important to note that every case is unique, so it is important to seek advice and clarification on your specific situation to know what your options are and what, if any, implications there may be.

If you would like to discuss any issues regarding divorce, relationship breakdown or any Family Law related aspect, please contact Sarah or Jackie on 01903 229999 or info@bennett-griffin.co.uk.
